About

This blog started as a tool to remind myself which books I'd studied and what I thought about them as I worked on an English Literature A level. It then morphed into an unstoppable compulsion where I review books - read for study and pleasure - explore the literary world, and experiment with my own writing.

There is never a time when I am not reading something, whether it is classic literature or a magazine or struggling to get through French children's books to ameliorer mon vocabulaire francais. And when I'm not reading, I'm writing, or 'incubating' ideas.

My favourite books? That's a tricky one.

I've written stories ever since I can remember. The first successful one, received enthusiastically by my year 4 classmates, was about a griffin and a unicorn. I write short stories, poetry, flash fiction, non-fiction and songs, and blog and tweet to my heart's content, and after a long break from writing am finally back in the saddle and pushing out a few tentative tentacles into the labyrinth that is the publishing sector.

Any questions or comments or ideas or whatever, leave a comment. Hope you enjoy my reading my blog and that you stop by again!

Flo :-)
